St. Paul school nutrition workers would make at least $15 an hour by 2019 under a tentative agreement reached Wednesday.
Teamsters Local 320 says the deal features 2 percent pay raises this school year and next, and increases to $15 for anyone making less than that in 2019.
About 110 of the district’s 284 nutrition workers now make less than $15 an hour.
The union took a preliminary step toward a strike earlier this month but struck a deal early Wednesday after 16 hours of mediation, Local 320 said.
Union workers will vote on the proposal Thursday.
The school district’s initial offer included no raise this year and 1 percent the next with a $15 minimum in 2019.
