An announced candidate for St. Paul school board has dropped out of the race.
Tony Fragnito said Monday that he instead will support the candidacy of John Brodrick, who announced Sunday that he is seeking a fifth consecutive term on the board. Fragnito said the board needs someone with experience.
St. Paul voters will elect three board members Nov. 7.
Jeanelle Foster, who took office after a special election in November, is seeking her first full term.
Chue Vue is undecided about pursuing a second term.
Newcomers Marny Xiong and Eduardo Barrera are running. Former board member Keith Hardy has hinted he may run again after a losing campaign in 2015.
