School is canceled Tuesday for St. Paul Public Schools due to cold weather and there will not be virtual learning.
Discovery Club and Adult Basic Education also will be closed. Other athletic and after-school activities will be canceled, except on a case-by-case basis. Varsity athletics may happen as scheduled as decided by the site administrator.
Meanwhile, schools also will be closed Tuesday for West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area Schools, or School District 197. District 197’s Early Learning Center, School Age Care, before- and after-school activities, as well as Community Education programs and facility rentals are canceled. Evening activities Tuesday may happen on a case-by-case basis and parents can visit isd197.org for updates.
South Washington County Schools and North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District will both have an e-learning day, with some activities canceled. The SPPS Board of Education will still hold its scheduled meetings Tuesday.
The first two days SPPS cancels school due to weather are non-instructional days. After that, the superintendent decides whether classes will be held virtually. The district previously canceled classes due to weather in January. Parents can visit spps.org for district updates.
