DaVinci Fest, the free festival that promotes student art, science and film projects in the St. Croix River Valley, will be 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Stillwater Area High School.

This year, more than 300 art, science, upcycling and film projects from students who attend Stillwater Area Public Schools or live within its boundaries will be on display. The top students who participate in DaVinci Fest are eligible to go on to further competition at regional, state and international science fairs.

In addition, Curio Dance and St. Croix Valley Opera will perform, and festival goers will have a chance to explore the Star Lab, an indoor portable planetarium, and the school’s Fabrication Lab.

For security reasons, Stillwater Area High School’s main front entrance doors will be the only entrance and exit for the event.

The festival is sponsored by the Partnership Plan, a nonprofit that raises money for extra programs in the Stillwater school district.

“We are excited to collaborate with the Partnership Plan to host this one-of-a kind science and art extravaganza,” said Superintendent Michael Funk. “The creativity of our students is incredible, and we look forward to showcasing their talents and celebrating their successes with our community.”
