The Great Northern Union Chorus is entering the second month of its new Performance Feast series, a free online music and arts education class led by the chorus’ director Mo Field.
Classes take place on Zoom at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday and run for 60 minutes. It’s free, with tickets available at performancefeast.com. This week’s guest is actor, vocalist and educator T. Mychael Rambo. Previous classes are available to stream on demand on the chorus’ YouTube page.
The series gathers musical leaders and artists from a range of singing ensembles and community arts groups to witness and discuss high-level artistic performances, according to a news release. Participants will do a deep dive on each performance, reflecting on the nuance, skill and impact of each work.
Funded by a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, Performance Feast runs 12 weeks. Guest artists include Robert Robinson, Jennifer Scott, Bruce Henry, Melissa Ferlaak and Tyley Ross.
